CORMIER, CÉCILIA - 1938 - 2012 - Cécilia Cormier, 74, of Saint-Thomas de Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Dr Georges L Dumont University Hospital Center on Friday, October 19th, 2012. She was married to Hervé Cormier. Born in Saint-Antoine on May 9th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clément and the late Alida (Goguen) Cormier. Cécilia was an agent for the Globe and Mail for a period of thirty years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Hervé, her four children: Gabrielle Cormier of Ottawa, Lise Derzaph of Sydney, BC, Jean (Dawn) of Riverview and Maurice of Dieppe, her granddaughters, Kate and Madison, her two sisters, Zena LeBlanc (Euclide) of Saint-Antoine and Assunta Bourgeois of Dieppe, her brother Alban of Saint-Antoine and several nieces and nephews. Cécilia was predeceased by three sisters, Flora, Rita and Juliette and a brother Yvon.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Monday October 22, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church , Bouctouche on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 4:00pm. In Cécilia’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
