April 18, 1933 - October 20, 2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sebastian Walsh of North Harbour, St. Mary’s Bay, who passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on October 20, 2012, age, 79 years. Predeceased by his parents: Michael and Victoria Walsh and his brother Michael. Leaving to mourn, his wife and best friend of 52 years Josephine (nee Collins); seven children: Tony (Janet), Bob (Karen), Dolly (Roy Nash), Mike (Joanne), Gerald (Sherry), Ken (Denise), Joanne (Ken Nolan); fifteen grandchildren: Suzanne (Derrick Tremblett), Ryan (Stacey), Andrew (Vicky), Andrea (Adam Nichol), Kathryn (Brennan), Emily, Samantha (Robert), Collin, Jenna, Emma, John, Victoria, Craig, Leah, Samuel; one great-grandchild Jackson; his brother Vince (Gerry Walsh); his sisters: Hannah Scott, Margaret (Gus Dalton); sisters-in-law: Marg (Richard Power), Marie King, Beth Higginson, Jenny Follett, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, especially his camping buddies: Pat and Bernadette Whiffen. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Resting at his home in North Harbour, St. Mary’s Bay. Visitation on Monday starting at 12 p.m. and on Tuesday starting at 12 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11 a.m., Sacred Heart Church North Harbour. Interment to follow. Donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. When those we love have left this earth, we still can feel them near. We’ll see a picture, hear a song, and it’s just like they are here. And when we call upon our faith, when we believe and trust, we know the ones we care about are always close to us.
