Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2008, of Mr. James A. (Jim) Essery of Cumberland St., Charlottetown, in his 98th year. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Bryanten) Essery. Dear father of Linda (Reagh) Sherren, Brenda (Lewis) Marshall, David (Shirley) Essery, Ellen (Loz Clow) Essery and James (Alana) Essery. He will also be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Alva Johnson and Doris Emery. He was predeceased by his parents, Lee and Margaret (nee MacLauchlan) Essery; sister, Margaret Gridley; and brothers, George and William Essery. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home, from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Saturday at 3 p.m. Visiting hours on Saturday, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
