LAMB, SARAH C. – 96, of Diligent River passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Diligent River, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Bessie (Vickery) Salter. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by daughters, Shirley Dickey (Gordon), Upper Musquodoboit; Bonnie Salter (Raymond), Porter’s Lake; Martha Thibeault (Henry), Cartier, Ont.; Erma Carmichael (Jack), North Sydney; Kathleen McIlheron (Ken), Toronto; Caroline Fleet (Danny), Halifax; Naomi Lamb, Amherst; sons, Rodney (Doreen), Toronto; David (Suzanne), Levack, Ont.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George; sons, William and Stephen; sisters, Georgena and Alice. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday [October 23, 2012] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 3 p.m. Wednesday [October 24, 2012] at St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
