Horace "Bud" Davidson
DAVIDSON, HORACE "BUD" - Bud Davidson of Saint John passed away at Bobby’s Hospice on Wednesday, October 25th, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Born April of 1928, he was the son of the late Horace and Thelma (Burlock) Davidson. In earlier years he worked for Barnes Hopkins later working as an Offset Pressman for the Telegraph-Journal. He was a member of Rothesay Baptist Church and former member and Deacon of Main Street Baptist Church. Bud was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and curling in his younger years. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bud is survived by his daughters Brenda Couillard, Gail Beveridge (Robert) and Kathie Lennon all of Saint John; special nephew David Howlett (Jennifer) of Fredericton; brother Raymond of Ottawa, ON; sister Arvilla Dines (Charlie) of Fredericton; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Bud was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years Dorothy (Mitton) Davidson, son Weldon Davidson, grandson Nathan Davidson and brother-in-law and good friend Carl Golding.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, October 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
