A beloved father, brother, son and friend to many passed away on Thursday, October 25 doing what he loved best. He is predeceased by his parents Anne and Michael Ryan of Marysvale. He leaves many who loved him dearly: his beautiful daughter Courtney Bridget Clarke, and his partner Yvonne Murphy, both of whom he lived with; his children Rodney, John, Chris; his larger family including Ed, Amanda, Jodie, and Alison. His grandchildren Amanda, Rodney, Kearsty; Brooklyn and John; Justin, Jessica and Kristen; Kate; Joshua and Samantha; and, Maddy — will greatly miss their Poppy Jack. Jack was extremely accomplished in the field construction, working on sites for over forty years. He oversaw countless projects — working with his close friend Nick Holden and partner Brad Greene - in St. John’s, across the island, and the country. He enjoyed spending time on the sites, good music, time with his family and friends, and taking Sunday drives in his Mustang. He couldn’t possibly know how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Visitation on Sunday from 7–9 p.m. and Monday from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from Caul’s Chapel on Tuesday, October 30th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
