
Alfred Doiron
DOIRON, ALFRED - Alfred “Gould” Doiron, 89, of Dieppe and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont University Centre on Friday, October 26, 2012 following a sudden illness. Born in Cap-Pelé on March 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Adelard and Elizabeth (Duguay) Doiron. A Pipefitter by trade, he worked in many locations throughout his life. He retired from Cormier & LeBlanc 25 years ago as foreman. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Eileen (Barrett); his nine children: Betty Brydges (Gordie) of Mexico, Patricia Murphy (Boyne) of Port Elgin, Brenda Thompson of Moncton, Sandra Thompson (Clive), Michael Doiron (Lorraine), Beverly Melanson (Arthur), Tony Doiron (Céline), Ronnie Doiron (Angela) and Norma Brine (Danny) all of Dieppe; three sisters, Émilia Boudreau (late Gerard) of Haute-Aboujagane, Léontine LeBlanc (late Clorice) and Alva LeBlanc (Émile) both of Cap-Pelé; six brothers: Théobald Doiron (Géraldine), Roger Doiron (Marie), Philippe Doiron (Géralda), and Jean-Louis Doiron (Donalda) all of Cap-Pelé, Yvon Doiron (Dorothy) of Parrsboro, NS, Father Ulysse Doiron of Charlesbourg, PQ; twenty-four grandchildren: Robby, Angela, Monica, Natasha, Shannon, Clayton, Tracey, Patrick “PJ”, Duane, Joshua, Michelle, Rémi, Francelle, Chris, Samuel, Nadine, Mélanie, Natasha, Krystal, Erika, Marc, Christian, Jeffrey and Melissa; several great-grand-children, many nieces, nephews and the Barrett family from Prince Edward Island. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert; and a sister, Yvonne.
The family will receive condolences at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Tuesday, October 30th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Therese d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pele, on Wednesday, October 31 at 11:00 am. In memory of Alfred, a donation to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Palliative or Orthopaedics) would be appreciated by the family.
