SCHMELZEISEN, OTTO ALFRED JOSEF - The passing of Alfred Schmelzeisen of Hanwell, NB, husband of Hertha (Englert) Schmelzeisen occurred on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at home. Born on October 11, 1930 in Wiesbaden, Germany, he was the son of the late Otto and Matilda Schmelzeisen. Alfred was a master plumber. In addition to his wife, Alfred is survived by his son, Ronnie Schmelzeisen (Amanda Golfetto) and daughter, Diana Schmelzeisen; grandchild, Emmelia; sister, Ottie Moore of Atwater, CA; a niece and two nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant son, Johnny Schmelzeisen.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2 pm with Canon Tom Smith officiating.
