Mrs. Mabel McTavish (neé Hay) passed away at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Tuesday October 30, 2012. Mabel was born at Rowletta in 1911. Predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Robert Hay, brothers Stanley and Gilbert, and sister Edna, Mabel is survived by her sister-in-law Grace; niece Jean Adams, nephews Larry Dufay and Cameron Hay; and several grand-nieces and nephews. Mabel taught school for many decades throughout southern and central Saskatchewan. She touched the lives of countless young children. Mabel will be sorely missed by all. The Celebration of Mabel’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 11:00 am. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate. Interment has taken place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Mabel, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
