G. Shirley Howe was born on May 9th, 1923 the oldest daughter of Nathaniel and Doris Kaiser in Ottawa, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dearly loved aunt Shirley Howe on October 6, 2012 in her sleep at the Pine Grove Care Centre.

Predeceased by her parents Nathaniel (d.1968) and Doris (d.1991) Kaiser, first husband Anthony Keto (d.1951) their two sons Jeffery (d.2000) (Phyllis) and James (d.2008) (Erika), brother Stanley Kaiser (d.2005) and his wife Elizabeth (d.1988) and her second husband Richard Howe (d.1994).

She is survived by two sisters Myrtle Houston of Calgary, AB and Iris Fladhamer of Bassano, AB, two grandsons Jesse Keto of Kelowna, B.C. and Dennis Stevenson (Angela, Riley & Derick) of Morris, MB, four nieces and five nephews from BC, AB and ONT and numerous great nieces and great nephews and great great-nieces and great great-nephews, also six great granddaughters and one great grandson of AB and ONT.

I would like to thank the staff and health care-aids of the Renaissance Retirement Residence and the staff and health care-aids of the Pine Grove Care Center for all your help, love and compassion shown to my aunt over the last 4 years. To our doctors Dr. A. Chung, Dr. B. Felik our love to you both. Schoenings Funeral Service Marie for your caring phone call on Sunday to tell me my Aunt Shirley was now with you and Joanne for all the help with paper work and the compassion shown to my daughter.

As requested by my aunt there was no service only cremation, and her ashes to be buried in the Washburn plot at the Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.
