Lillian M. Weeks, 83 years of age, of Amherst passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Roy & Ellen (Brigley) Rafter.
Lillian was a member of Trinity St. Stephen's United Church and a member of the U.C.W. She loved to garden and knit. She loved spending summers at the family cottage in Northport and was a very good baker.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Patricia Weeks of Halifax; sister Doris Brown ( Warren) of Warren; brother, Gordon ( Charlotte) of Vancouver, BC; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Mervyn, brother, Douglas.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St. Amherst, NS (667-8777). The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 2, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. Burial to take place in the Amherst Cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity- St. Stephen's United Church or to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
