1916-2008 Irene M. Keenan of Woodstock, New Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, surrounded by her family and priest, Father Brennan, four days before her 92nd birthday, at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, N.B. Wife of the late Alvin J. Keenan, who predeceased her September 21, 2000. Born at Johnville, New Brunswick, April 25, 1916, daughter of the late John and Susan (Boyd) Cronin. She is survived by her children Susan St. Hilare (Paul) of Westford, Mass.; Grace Keenan, M.D. (David Baxter) of Paeonian Springs, VA; Terry Keenan (Diana) of Hartford, Conn.; Raymond Keenan (Betsy) of Souris, P.E.I.; Alvin Keenan (Nancy) of Souris, P.E.I.; Kenneth Keenan of Woodstock, N.B.; sisters Marie Foley and Kathleen Newall; brothers Frank Cronin and Walter (Juanita) Cronin; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Johnson; sons, David and Phillip Keenan; two brothers, Dan Cronin and Vincent Cronin. Visitation at Culberson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Friday, April 25, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St. Gertrude’s Church with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
