It is with great sadness that the family of Bernie Hynes announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Thursday, November 01, 2012 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his sons: Jerry (Joy), Brent (Laurel), Justin (Marie), Rick (Trudy), his grandchildren: Garrett, Mackenzie, Jeremy, Janeeca (Lee), Jessica (Adam), Jason, Jennifer (Lorne), Sheldon (Keri), great-grandchildren: Megan, Miguel, Emily, Kaley, Gabrielle, Jada; his brother, Melvin (Rita), his sisters: Pearl, Edith, Phyllis, Helen and Kay, sisters-in-law: Sally, Minette (Gordon), Elaine (Donald), Frances (Craig), Jane (John), his brothers- in-law Hounsell (Hughena), Doug, Os (Doris), George (Vicki) and James (Cossette). Also leaving to mourn are a large number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Bernie was predeceased by his wife Betty, his parents Manuel & Sarah Hynes, his brothers: Larry, Wally & Alban, his in-laws Roy & Dorcas Payne, his brothers-in-law: Harry Walsh, Dennis McCaan, Jim Sheppard, Frank Csullog, Jim Sunstrum, George Reid and his sister-in-law Judy. The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Cow Head, NL, on Saturday, November 3, 2012 and Sunday, November 4, 2012. The funeral service will take place from there on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. November 5, 2012 with Father Lee Lainey officiating. The burial is to follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Cow Head. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 Main Street, Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cow Head Catholic Cemetery Fund.
