CUDMORE, RUTH ELLEN - 1938 - 2012 - Ruth Cudmore, of Riverview, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at The Dr. George L. Dumont University Hospital at the age of 74. Born in Collingwood, NS., she was the daughter of the late Lola (Thompson) and Carvell Nix. Ruth was a beautiful person who throughout her life always gave to others. She and her husband owned Cudmore Gen. Ins. where she retired from in 1996, she was a member of the Albert County Senior’s Bowling League, was a former member of the Beaver Curling Club and past president of the Beaver Day Ladies, a former member and past president of the Riverview Lionettes Club, and attended St. Paul’s United Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and CGIT Leader. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband, Dave Cudmore, daughters, Rhonda (Harlan Steeves) and Leanne Field, both of Riverview; grandchildren, Tyler and Rebecca Rigby, and Shelby and Mitchell Field, brother, Douglas Nix (Karen) of Kingston, NS; sister-in-law, Joyce Nix of Pugwash, NS; aunts, Florina Reid of Moncton; Georgie Dole of Riverview; several nieces and nephews, and her special four-legged grandson, Jack. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Fred. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Dr. George L. Dumont University Hospital for the loving care and support that was shown to Ruth and her family over these past years.
The family will be receiving Friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, NB., (869-2007) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A funeral Service will take place St. Paul’s United Church on Saturday, November 10th at 11am with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. The interment will follow in Alderwood Cemetery.
