STELLARTON – Leland Richard Anderson, age 81 of Birch Hill Drive, Stellarton, passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 at home.
Born in Minneapolis, U.S.A, he was the son of the late Carl and Elaine (Butterfield) Anderson.
Lee was a resident of Pictou County for the past 28 years, 20 years in MacPherson’s Mills and most recently having lived in Stellarton. He was a former member of the U.S. Marine Corp. Lee was an amateur radio operator, VE1AYX, VE6AWW. He worked as a chiropractor for a number of years in New Glasgow. Lee loved computers, gadgets and wine making.
Surviving are his wife the former Kate (Thomas); children: Cathy, Connie, Margaret, John and Dodie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister Marilyn, Minnesota
Cremation has taken place. A public memorial service will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Webber-Cook officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home.
Donations in memory of Lee may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Fund.
