Margaret "Peggy" McQuinn

MCQUINN, MARGARET “PEGGY” ELIZABETH - 1933-2012 - It is with great sadness that the family of Miss Peggy McQuinn announces her passing. Born in Moncton, July 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clifford William and Marie Ernestine Estella (Stella) (Bourque) McQuinn. She was retired from the No. 5 Supply Depot in Moncton where she worked in the administration office. She also spent several years with the Militia. Peggy loved spending time at her cottage in Cocagne. She enjoyed being with her good friend Phyllis Gillis and her dog, Peanut. She enjoyed bowling, socializing with friends and lived in Riverview for the last several years while attending St. Augustine’s Church. Peggy is survived by her cousins, Everett (Noreen) McQuinn, Marie (late Gerry) LeBlanc, Lois (Kent) Wallace, Don (Joanne) McQuinn, Margo Bourque and other cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Clifford, in 1973 and her mother, Stella, in 1980. Her grandparents were Roy and Minnie (Proctor) McQuinn of Moncton and Pacifique and Anastasie (Leger) Bourque of Cape Bald.
There will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, (869-2007) on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. The interment will follow at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Peggy’s memory can be made to the NB Lung Association, Friends of The Moncton Hospital, or a memorial of the donor’s choice.
