It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston Canning announce his sudden passing on Thursday, November 15th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Genevieve, of 62 years; son: Wayne (Heidi), Redcliff, AB; daughter: Debra (Frank), Espanola, ON; son: Roger (Lisa), Massey Drive; three loving grandchildren: Devon, Allison and Anna; sisters: Annie, Twillingate, Myrtle, Deer Lake, Pearl and Phoebe, Baytona; brothers: Frank, Botwood, Stanley and Walter, Baytona; special cousin: Levi Canning, Woodstock; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Joyce. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, followed with a private burial service. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA or to the charity of one’s choice.
