Peacefully at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, of Harriett (Hattie) Gertrude Gamble (nee Stewart) in her 94th year. Wife of the late Orion Gamble. Dear mother of Gertrude (Edgar) Parker, Albany; Evelyn (Don) Rogerson, Crapaud; Miriam (Wayne) Prim, California, U.S.; and Darlene (Brian) Buchanan, Crapaud. Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Vivian Hyde and Florence Gamble, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Edna Adams, Sadie Stevenson, Edith Waddell, Blanche Rogerson, Alice Woodside and brothers, Arthur, Horace and George Stewart. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, until Friday, May 2, from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment in Westmoreland Baptist Church Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, May 1, 6-9 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
