Emily Gillis
Emily Agnes Gillis, 86 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, passed away November 21, 2012 in the manor.
Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Bertha Mae (Miller) Williams.
Emily grew up in Newtown, Guysborough County, and previously resided in Trenton for a number of years. She was a resident of the Glen Haven Manor for the past seven years. She was a former employee of Wearwell Garments for some 20 years from where she retired.
She is survived by a son Donald (Edith), Greenwood, Pictou County; a daughter Isabel (Michael) Campbell, Trenton; six grandchildren: Angela, Greenwood, Pictou County; Jodi, Edmonton; James (Laura-Lee), Dartmouth; Nathan, Vancouver; Michelle (Steven) Smith, Trenton; Blair, Trenton; four great-grandchildren: Darcy, Enya, Tyler and Blake.
She was predeceased by her husband Dan Gillis.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Fergie MacKay presiding. Burial will take place in the Abercrombie Cemetery.
