The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, of Clifford Francis Martin of Summerside and formerly of Middleton, aged 81 years. Clifford was born on Dec. 19, 1930, in Emerald Junction to his parents Maxim and Anna (nee Arsenault) Martin. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Arsenault) Martin and loving father of Maxine (Andy) Paynter of Summerside and Chris (Lisa) Martin of Greenwood, N.S. Also lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren, Devin and Riley, and several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Clifford was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, Nov. 28, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Clifford’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
