Marion Gallant, aged 92, cherished wife of the late Clarence Gallant of Mayfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge on Thursday, May 1, 2008. She was the last surviving member of 13 children, born to Stanislaus and Delphine Doiron of Cavendish. Marion is survived by eight children: Gordon (Pearl), Harvey (Bernadette), Vernon (Jeannie), Bernice Doiron, Louise (Elmer) Doiron, Kathleen Hughes, Cody, Gary (Marlene); daughter-in-law, Noel Ruelland; 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons, Charlie, Walter and Erwin; a daughter, Shirley; sons-in-law, Martin Doiron and Terry Hughes; daughter-in-law, Bridie Gallant; grandsons, Danny Doiron and Clarence Gallant; and granddaughter, Barbara Gallant. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, May 4, 2008, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Church, Hope River, Monday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
