LANDRY, Blanche Marie – 84, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, and formerly of Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 10, 1928 in Dorchester, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Elie and Chantal (LeBlanc) Bourque. Blanche was a homemaker and she enjoyed baking. She was also a former member of Les Dames de Sainte Anne. She is survived by her children, Douglas Landry, Amirault’s Hill; Betty (Roger) Pitman, Yarmouth; Cyril Landry (Debbie Boudreau), Saint John, NB, as well as by four loving grandchildren, Jennifer Landry, Stephanie Landry, Meaghan (John) Wangsaard and Tom Pitman. Also surviving is a sister, Louise Skinner, Yarmouth, as well as brothers-in-law, Reg Barnard and Norman Boudreau. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Fred Landry; sons, James Alfred in infancy, and Milton Landry; sisters, Fannie Barnard and Marie Boudreau. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, with prayers at 8:00 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Parish Cemetery Fund or to the VON.
