SPENCER, BERNARD - The death of Bernard (Bernie) C. Spencer of Stoney Creek, ON occurred at the home of his daughter on November 25, 2012. Bernie was born November 3, 1936 in Parker’s Ridge, NB. In addition to his parents, Lyle and Idelle (Norrad) Spencer, he was predeceased by his wife Liz (Gregg) in 2001, his son Bernie in 2010, his brother Norris in 1995 and his sister Evelyn Smith in 2009. He is survived by his daughter Jocelyn Sibley (James), his grandsons Bryam and Robert all of Stoney Creek, his grand-daughter Amanda Ingram (John) and his great-grand-daughter Brooke all of Victoria, BC as well as his son’s children Bernie and Justin of Hamilton. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Lynn, his brother-in-law Harold Smith, three nieces Teresa Smith, Sheryl Mercer (John) and Heather Spencer (Warren Williams), three nephews Lloyd Smith (Annemarie), Jim Spencer (Margaret) and Gary Spencer (Anne Marie), their families and many friends. Bernie worked for the Canadian Grinding Wheel Company for 25 years followed by employment for 15 years with Wright’s Abrasives Inc. both of Hamilton.
Interment will be in the Parker’s Ridge Cemetery in what is affectionately known by family as “Spencer Row” in the summer of 2013. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice are welcomed by the family. Online condolences available at www.lgwallace.ca
