At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, May 2, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer, of Robert Bruce Stevenson, veteran of Second World War, age 82 years. Beloved husband for 64 years of Irene (Rene) Poulton. Son of the late Lloyd and Ethel (Mennie) Stevenson. Dear father of Robert L., Karen Rooney (Shawn) and Derrik (Debbie). Loving grandfather of Karri Clark (Davey), Joshua (Dawnia) and Alex. Great-grandfather of Chelsey and Ashley Bernard. Also left to mourn are the grandson’s mother Wendy Henderson, brother Murray (Ferne) and sister-in-law Irene. Predeceased by his brothers, Jack and William. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, for visitation Monday 4-7. Funeral Tuesday from St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment in New Glasgow Cemetery.
