William Joseph ‘Willie Joe’ Larade, 64, of Cheticamp died Nov. 27, 2012, at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
Born in Cheticamp, he was the son of the late William and Neillé (Haché) Larade.
Willie Joe loved the outdoors, especially snaring rabbits. He liked country music and playing his guitar. He loved spending time with his family either travelling or gatherings. His special holiday time was Christmas, “the decorating and family gatherings.”
He is survived by his common-law wife, Sylvia Roach; one son, Jaimie Larade; one stepson, Yvon Roach; one stepdaughter, Christina Roach; six brothers, Pierre Cyril (Elizabeth), Louis Joseph (Jeanne), Leo, Georgie (Laurette), Patrick (Pauline), Simon Pierre (Linda); step-granddaughter, April Roach; step-grandsons, Quentin Roach and Brandon Dilosa.
He was predeceased by one son, Ivan, one daughter, Tracy and one brother, Nectaire in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp. Interment in the parish cemetery.
