Passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in his 52nd year, Clifton A. Garnier. Predeceased by his father Anthony Garnier in 2004 and his niece Trina Garnier in 1999. Leaving to mourn his passing are his common-law wife Pauline Elson; children: Alicia (Nivan Brake), Clifton, Christopher, Sonya (Lorne) Blake, Sylvia (Aubrey) Spurvey; grandchildren: Haylee Blake, Lexi Blake and Jaymes Spurvey. Also leaving to mourn his mother Gladys Garnier; brothers: Curtis (Dorothy), Isadore (Dolly), Kevin; sisters: Sharron (Clarence) Louvelle, Melita (George) Bennett, Cavelle, Stella (Werner) Binder, Angela (Tony) Sheppard. Also left to mourn are Cindy Smith (mother of Alicia) and Jacquline Garnier (mother of Clifton & Christopher) as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Sunday from 2–4 & 7–9 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, December 3, 2012 from Assumption Church, Stephenville Crossing at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing. To honor Clifton’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium.
