1921-2012
Clara Gallant of Riverview, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Grass’s Nursing Home. Born in St. John’s, NF, on August 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Lee) and Robert Chafe.
Clara was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by daughters, Marilyn Peters and Kim Mills both of Riverview; Debbie Prowse (Blair) of Moncton; sons, Brendon (Kim) and Wade both of Riverview; Gary (Louise) of Charlottetown, P.E.I.; and Keith of Souris, P.E.I.; as well as twenty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph; daughter, Sandra; several brothers and sisters, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers taking place at 8:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Riverview, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11 a.m., with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. The interment will take place in St. Charles Church Cemetery, St. Charles, P.E.I.
Donations made to the Canadian Red Cross Society or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
