SHANNON, MICHAEL LYLE - M. Lyle Shannon of Temperance Vale, NB passed away November 30, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1943 at Jacquet River, NB, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Dempsey) Shannon. Lyle was a member of the RCL Southampton Branch #27. He loved to cook and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. Lyle is survived by his wife, Devota (Morehouse) Shannon; one son, David Shannon (Debbie), Regina, SK; two stepsons, Joey Morehouse (Melinda), Stony Plain, AB and Perry Morehouse (Susan), Hamilton, ON; five grandchildren, Jade Shannon, Scott Morehouse, Sarah Morehouse, Kayla Morehouse, and Matthieu Doucet; four great-grandchildren, Maria, Brooke, Chase, and Colten; three brothers, Bernard Shannon, Jacquet River, NB, Wilfred Shannon (Norma-Jean), Magundy, NB, and Jimmy Shannon (Edna), Milltown, NB; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one stepson, Dwinel Morehouse; one stepdaughter, Delorase Morehouse; five brothers, Billy, Roland, Murray, Ralph, and Glen; two sisters, Elizabeth Sealy and Frances Shannon.
Although there will be no visitation or funeral service at the request of the family, they will be receiving visitors on Wednesday afternoon, December 5, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm at the Temperance Vale Community Hall, Route 605, Temperance Vale, NB.
