Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home on Saturday, December 1, 2012 of Mr. Peter C. McGonnell of Charlottetown age 76 years.
Beloved husband of Nandi (nee Gallant) McGonnell and dear father of Melissa, Michael, Mark and Matthew (Francine) McGonnell. He is also survived by three loving grandchildren Danielle, Hannah and Simon McGonnell and his sister, Mary McGonnell.
He was predeceased by his parents Peter (1996) and Annie Malone (1943) and Ann Curley (2003) McGonnell and his brother Roy (Margaret) McGonnell.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, P.E. Home or the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
Visiting hours on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The Holy Redeemer Knights of Columbus Council 7748 and all brother knights are welcome to attend a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m.
The 4th degree Knights of Columbus are welcome to participate in a honour guard on Tuesday evening and also at the funeral.
