At Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, Friday, November 30, 2012, of Hazel Margaret (nee MacAusland) Dignan, Charlottetown, aged 97 years, wife of the late Alfred Dignan.
Born in Bloomfield April 2, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Hatfield and Margaret (nee Lewis) MacAusland. Dear mother to Leila Vickerson, Warren Grove; Lloyd George (Mary), Charlottetown; and Isabel (Aubrey) DesRoches, Cornwall. Loving grandmother to David (Karen), George (Brenda), Kenneth (Debbie), Robert (Lori), Colette DesRoches, Jennifer (Chad) Redmond, Steven (Rhea), eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Hazel is survived by her sister Helen Gillcash, O’Leary. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents; stepfather, Alton Boulter; husband, Alfred; children, Charles Alfred and John Hatfield (both in infancy); brother, Henry; sister, Irene; son-in-law, Raymond; and grandson, Dustin.
