
Klaas de Boer
de BOER, KLAAS - Klaas de Boer of Nackawic, NB passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital on December 2, 2012. Born at Ilpendam, Holland in 1918, he was a son of the late Jakob and Maartje (Bontjes) de Boer. Klaas was a WWII Veteran and was decorated by Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. He loved his cat and had a wonderful sense of humor. Klaas is survived by a daughter, Maureen Williams (Dennis), Millville, NB; a son, Ray de Boer (Cate), Macon, Georgia, USA; several nieces and nephews; Judy Miller, whose loving care allowed him to stay in his home. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (McVicar) de Boer in 1996; an infant daughter; two brothers, Cornelius and Jaap de Boer; two sisters, Annie Boom and Maartje de Boer.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 12 noon until the hour of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Weldon LaKing officiating. Interment at Millville Cemetery.
