SCOTT, HILDA MAE - “Miss me, but let me go.” - It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing our beloved Hilda Mae Scott of Upper Kingsclear, NB. A dear wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and a special friend too many will forever live in our hearts. Hilda Mae passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born March 11, 1944 in Kingsclear, she was a daughter of the late Shirley and Greta E. (Burns) Kelly. Hilda Mae was an active and faithful member of the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Russell Scott; her cherished son David and daughter-in-law Janice (Allen-Scott) of Scotch Settlement; sisters, Joan Dempster of Hampton, Beatrice Kelly of Fredericton and Diane Palmer (Thom) of Clarence, New York; brothers Jack (Karen) of Terrace, BC and Gerald of Vancouver, BC, Steven (Patsy) of Prince William and Dennis Burns of Spawood, BC; nieces, nephews and cousins. Hilda Mae also leaves behind her much loved sister-in-law Betty Kelly of Saint John and devoted and special friends, Dorothy and Edgar Barrieau. Hilda Mae was predeceased by her parents; an infant son Mark Kenneth Scott (1967), her daughter Joan Elizabeth Scott (2006) and sisters, Jeanne Rogers and Gloria Knee.
The family will receive condolences at the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church, 15 Mazerolle Settlement Road on Wednesday, December 5 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by a celebration of Hilda Mae’s life at the church on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kendell McRae officiating. Interment in the Kingsclear Baptist Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to a charity of your choice.
