LYNE: Calvin Hans Lyne, age 70, of Swift Current, SK passed away November 27, 2012, with his family at his side, at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Funeral Service was held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Captain Michael Ramsay officiating. The organist was Barb Mirau. The Ushers were Travis Nerada and Eddy Tardiff. A solo was performed by Greg Vachon and Cathy Nerada presented the Life Tribute. Pallbearers were Brad Johnson, Darrell Ginter, Calvin Wason, Ross Ginter Todd Bowditch and Walter Wason. Honorary Pallbearers were Barry Weiss, Heather Fenwick, Abe Ginter, Kayla Gornick, Sandra Larson and all who shared in his life. The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Calvin was born in Neidpath on October 15, 1942. He attended school at Luxor School and then moved on to Oman School. He married Rachel Godfrey on May 2, 1987 in Swift Current. Calvin worked a various places over his life time and in his spare time he enjoyed gardening, auto body work, farming and carpentry. Calvin lived by the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." He had a passion for Ford trucks and enjoyed a good joke. Calvin was eagerly awaiting the arrival of two more great grandchildren, Zander and Isabella. He is survived by his loving wife Rachel; daughters Cheryl (Darrell) and Dawn (Brad); grandchildren Sabre (Sonny), Ross, Angus, Max, Ara, Sheyanne (Todd), Shawnee (Greg), Calvin, Thomas, Colleen and Henry; Great Grandchildren Kale, Tinara and Caleb; honorary daughter Cathy (Travis) Nerada; sister Iris and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Hilda; stepfather Melford; brother Larry; son James Irwin, brothers-in-law John (Amy), Robert (Laureen), Lawrence (Susan) and numerous aunt and uncles. Calvin will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends. In his memory, memorial donations may be made to the Swift Current Salvation Army or the Children's Wish Foundation. Warren's Funeral Home were in care of arrangements.
