97, Halifax, formerly of Flatrock, NL., passed away peacefully November 27, 2012 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Horse Cove NL., she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Whelan. Margaret leaves behind son Francis (Annette), Miramichi, NB., daughter; Patricia (Richard) Bentley, Halifax, grandchildren: Darren (Kim), Michael (Kim) Bentley; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Jeffery, Jeremy, Kiara, Tye, several nieces and nephews; and special friends Albert and Evett. She was predeceased by husband Cornelius, brother; William Whelan, sister; Elizabeth Taylor, great-grandson, Adam. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). Interment will take place on Thursday December 6, at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, Flatrock. A memorial mass will be Thursday December 6 at 7:00 p.m. from the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Flat rock. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
