SHERWOOD, FREDA PEARL - Freda Sherwood of Upham, wife of the late Raymond Sherwood, passed away December 3, 2012 at the Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis. She was born in Passekeag, daughter of the late Willard and Elizabeth Carson. Freda attended St. Peter’s Church, Upham, where she was a member of St. Peter’s A.C.W., and the church choir. She was also a member of the Hammond River Valley Seniors. She is survived by three sons, Donald Sherwood, (Shelagh) of Hampton, Philip Sherwood (Jean) of Upham, Neil Sherwood (Debbie) of Upham; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Greta Carson, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by six brothers, Herb, John, Russell, Andrew, Ralph and Allen Carson; and five sisters, Hazel Campbell, Florence Ross, Bertha Ray, Roberta Floyd and Lily Vesey.
Resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation on Thursday, December 20, from 7 to 9pm, Friday, December 21, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Church, Upham on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00pm. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
