It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph (Joe) Brake announce his sudden passing on Monday, December 3rd, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 65. He will be sadly missed by his brothers: Robert (Peg), Kevin (Elizabeth) and Bruce (friend Donna) Brake, all of Corner Brook; sisters: Marg (Martin) Kennedy, Irishtown, Mary-Ann (John) Costella, Corner Brook, Pauline (Austin) Gillingham, Cox’s Cove; nieces and nephews: Cory (Christa), Travis (Erica), Jamie, Debbie (Dennis), Robert (Karen), Elizabeth (Brad), John (Katrina), Andrea (Marcel), Laura (Andrew); as well as many great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Bruce and Laura Brake; sister: Theresa Whitehorn and nephew Bobby Brake. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place from Fillatre’s Chapel, St. Marks Avenue on Thursday, December 6th at 10:30 A.M. Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. The interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
