The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, of “John” Jean Louis Joseph Comeau of Summerside and formerly of Comeau Settlement, N.B., aged 72 years. John was born in Comeau Settlement, N.B., on Sept. 4, 1940, to his late parents Carice and Lauza (nee Doiron) Comeau. Beloved husband of Joyce Coughlin and loving father of Adele Gereluk (David Gray), Denise Comeau, Leonard Coughlin, Victor Coughlin, Beverley (Mark) Tufts, Bernie Coughlin, and Scott Coughlin (Kelly Harper). Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Marguerite, Irene, Lucina, Jeanne D’Arc, Rose-Marie, Marie-Claire, Dorice, Joseph, Emery, Edmond, Medard, Gerard and Venance. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Norma Giroux and his brother Gerard. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, for visiting hours on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. John will be then transferred to the Robichaud Funeral Home, Neguac, N.B., for visiting hours on Friday, Dec. 7, 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the de St. Georges de Covedell Church, Covedell, N.B., at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in the Covedell Cemetery.
