Sept. 7, 1943 - Dec. 3, 2012. It is with extreme devastation that the family of Joe MacDonald announce his passing following a brief but hard fought battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Kathleen MacDonald and sister Kathleen Foley. Adoringly and forever remembered by wife Edwina; daughters: Janice (Caleb) and Lisa (Brad); cherished granddaughter Sophie; devoted 4 legged furry friends Sam and Annie; brothers: Ern (Arlene), Robert (Brenda) and their families; sister Elizabeth (Bob Hildebrand) and family, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Sincere recognition of close friend Derek Pelley and valued, lifelong friend Ray Peterson. Tremendous appreciation extended to dedicated family friends Ashley Carew and Sarah Pender. Forever grateful to Dr. Robert Woodland for his endless compassion, care and support for Joe and his family. Visitation to celebrate Joe’s life will be held at Caul’s Funeral home on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday 1-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. with interment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to the SPCA to help all the furry creatures that Joe so dearly adored.
