It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Wall, a wonderful father, grandfather, and thirty year owner of Dew-All Transmissions. Predeceased by his parents: Cecilia and Ernest Wall and Maria Pierce; wife Meneatha; daughter Lynette; first wife Joan; and sisters: Verna Quinlan and Beulah Morris. Leaving to mourn sons: Fraser (Susan), Ken (Sharon), Howard (Valerie), and daughter Linda; the joy of his life; his grandchildren: Logan, Brittney, Taylor, Aliy, Cara, and Jeffrey; sister Jean Ackroyd (Ontario); cousins: Ruby Matterface and Everett Wall; special friends: Jack Peddle, Alf Hodder, and Ethel Gaulton; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. He was well loved, and his wonderful sense of humor will be sadly missed. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, December 5, from 7 - 9 p.m., and on Thursday, December 6, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
