
Roland Roger Brunelle
Roland “Rollie” Roger Brunelle, 62, passed away suddenly at his home in Donagh on Monday, December 3, 2012, with his wife of 19 years, Ruth Elizabeth, at his side.
Roland was born in Montreal on August 15, 1949, to the late Roger and Eileen Brunelle. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Marlene and Lorraine.
Roland is survived by his loving wife Ruth; his son, Marc and daughter, Chantel; grandson, Derek; his sisters, Doreen (Ken), Donna (Grant), Lynn, Arlene (Allan); brother, Ronnie; his “adopted” daughters, Morgan and Caitlin; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends who will all miss him dearly.
Roland’s passions in life were his horses, his dogs and his favourite football team, the Calgary Stampeders.
Before moving to P.E.I. in 2010, Roland lived in Alberta and B.C. for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Beiseker Fire Department in Alberta for 14 years, 10 of those years as Fire Chief. In 2005, Roland was awarded the Alberta Emergency Services Medal in recognition of his service to the people of Alberta as a volunteer firefighter.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life open house to be held at Roland’s home in Donagh on Saturday, December 8, 2012, commencing at 1 p.m.
