
Michael Keilty
KEILTY, MICHAEL STEPHEN - Surrounded by his loving family, Michael S. Keilty of McLeod Hill, NB passed away peacefully on December 5, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born October 1, 1953 at Woodstock, NB, he was a son of the late John and Agnes (Dow) Keilty of Scott’s Siding, NB. He will be forever missed by his wife, Judith (Grant) Keilty; his daughter, Katherine (Mike Penney) and his son James, both of McLeod Hill, NB. He will also be remebered by brothers Richard Keilty (Patricia), Woodstock, NB and Jack Keilty (Cheyenne), Scott’s Siding, NB; sisters, Maxine McGrattan (Paul), Doaktown, NB, Diana Allen, Edmonton, AB and Theresa Sharp (Eugene), Harry’s Harbour, Newfoundland; brothers-in-law, Richard Grant (Bonnie), Dumfries, NB Marven Grant (Cheryl), Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Olga Waddingham, New Maryland, NB, Susan Furrow (Stephen), Canterbury, NB, Deanna Grant, Canterbury, NB and Jean Grant, Halifax, NS and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Stuart, infant twin brothers, John and Ron, brothers-in-law, Jay Allen, Neil Grant and Orville Grant and a nephew Kevin Grant. Michael was employed by NB Power for 34 years beginning in 1970 as an equipment operator with Construction and Maintenance and later as Material and Equipment Co-ordinator in 1992. He retired in 2005. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His great pleasure was being with his family on their outings to see his son James playing hockey. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Canterbury, NB on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Father Godwin Kalu officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Bradley, Jim, Eldon and Fred Keilty, Colby Waddingham and Harry Grant.
