DI SAVERIO, LINA - It is with the most profound sadness and great loss that we announce the passing of Lina Di Saverio on December 5, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer and with her loving family by her side. Cherished mother, grand-mother, daughter, sister and wife. Born on May 27, 1950 in Casagreca, Provincia di Teramo, Italy. She was the daughter of Vincenzo Di Domenicantonio of Moncton and the late Pasquina (Mazetta) Di Domenicantonio. Besides her father, she will be forever missed by her husband, Ennio Di Saverio; her son, Nino (Kelley); her sister and brothers: Nadia Short (Sheldon), Phil (Noëlla) and Ceasar. Lina will be especially missed by her two cherished grandchildren: Demica and Antonio who were the apple of her eye. Lina was a long time employee of the CIBC until the onset of her illness. She loved to cook and always selfless, generous and loving.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s R.C. Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Friday, December 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 until time of departure (10:20). Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
