
Christophe "Chris" Cormier
CORMIER, CHRISTOPHE “CHRIS” - 1918 - 2012 - Christophe Cormier, 94, of Dieppe, NB, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Pierre and the late Marie (née: Melanson) Cormier. Mr. Cormier had retired from CN Express. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 1310, the CNR Pensioners Club, Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption parish and the Club d’Age d’Or. He is survived by two daughters: Dorothy “Dot” (Dave) Barley and Jeannine (Andy) McCabe, both of Dieppe; two sons: Roger (Francine) of Dieppe and Armand “Yogi” of Moncton; two sisters: Irène (late Edouard) Goguen of Moncton and Aline (late Arthur) LeBlanc of Dieppe; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren: Kevin (Terri), Kenda, Kolin (Monica), Christopher (Sophie), Jamie, Kris and Julien; one great granddaughter, Emma, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile (née: Williams) in 2002; five sisters: Beatrice, Jeanne, Rita, Lorraine and Marguerite and also by four brothers: Theodore, Antoine, Albert and Telix.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at 10:30 am. Interment in the Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
