GALLANT, ALDONA “DONNA” - Aldona "Donna" Gallant, 82, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 9, 1930 in Dieppe, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Judith (Bastarache) Brun. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Gallant of Moncton; four sisters: Pauline Bastarache (late Ronald) and Lucille Arena (Nicholas), both of Massachussetts; Gloria Melanson (late Normand) and Edith Murphy (Michael), both of Dieppe; four brothers: Gérard (late Irene) and Dismas (Murielle), Rodrigue “Whitey” (June), all of Dieppe and George (Donna) of Massachussetts, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond (2011); one daughter, Lucille; two sisters: Thelma and Anna-Mai, as well as one brother, Allison.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours are Friday, December 7, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
