Phyllis Trites
TRITES, PHYLLIS D. - Phyllis D. Trites, 90, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of the Gorge Road, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday December 6, 2012. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Steeves) Renton. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of the former Stilesville United Church (Visions United), a life member of the Stilesville UCW and former member of the L.O.B.A. Phyllis was an avid cook and enjoyed spending time with Marshall and family at their cottage (Targetville). Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening, quilting, knitting, sewing, crocheting and being involved in community work; but first and foremost was spending quality time with her family and friends. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her daughters, Marsha Wilson (Wayne) of Ammon, Patricia Sweet (Baxter) of Lutes Mountain; sons, Michael (Lila) of Lutes Mountain, Bevan (Christine) of Moncton, Jeff (Karen) of Ammon; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Black (Paul) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Marshall E. Trites (August 2009); one brother, Allan.
In honoring Phyllis’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 am, Rev. Winston Parks officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Stilesville Cemetery.
