AMOS, DORIS FRANCES - Mrs. Doris Frances Amos, wife of the late Nelson Amos of Doaktown, NB passed away on December 8, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on April 3, 1923 in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mae (East) Legate. Doris was a member of St. Thomas United Church, UCW, the Miramichi Historical Society, Miramichi Salmon Museum and the Doaktown Curling Club. She is survived by one daughter, Wenda Amos of Toronto, ON; one son, Terry (Susan) of Blissfield, NB; two grandchildren, Mitchell (Alicia) Amos of Lower Queensburg, NB and Neil Amos of Blissfield; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Claire. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Graham.
The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas United Church, 365 Main St., Doaktown, with Rev. Paul McGrattan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Thomas United Cemetery, South Road. A reception will follow at St. Thomas United Church. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Thomas United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are in the care of Davidson’s Funeral Home (365-7022).
