Jacqueline Crystal “Jackie” Fraser, 48, of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by her family.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Ansel and stepdaughter of Joan (MacDougall) Hurlburt, Port Hawkesbury and the late Ruby Margaret (Proctor) Hurlburt. She enjoyed cross word puzzles and game shows. Jackie was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Brian Kenneth Fraser; children, Amanda Fraser, Antigonish; Megan Fraser, New Glasgow; Travis Hurlburt, Stellarton; sisters, Debbie (Fraser) MacLellan, Sugar Camp; Donna (Chris) Fraser, Port Hawkesbury; Gail Hurlburt (Simon McIntryre), Port Hastings; Nancy (Doug) Comeau, Cold Brook; step sister, Shelly MacDougall, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Kevin Hurlburt (Debbie Lewis), Antigonish; Carlton Hurlburt, Halifax; stepbrothers, Paul MacDougall, Port Hawkesbury; Wade MacDougall, Port Hastings; Jamie (Dianne) MacDougall, Port Hawkesbury; Robbie (Natalie) MacDougall, Port Hawkesbury; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her mother Ruby, she was predeceased by her daughter, Michaela Fraser.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating.
