Edna Brownlow
BROWNLOW, EDNA MARIE - Peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Edna Marie (Morgan) Brownlow, beloved wife of John Brownlow of Upper Hainesville, NB passed away after a lengthy battle with heart disease and cancer. Edna was born at Upper Hainesville, NB on April 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Perley and Ola (Brawn) Morgan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who was loved equally in return. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John; a daughter, Pam Brownlow (Billy) of Upper Hainesville, NB; three sons, Tony (Ann) of Blacks Harbour, NB, Wally (Tammy) of Middle Hainesville, NB and Ritchie (Lynn) of Upper Hainesville, NB; her grandchildren, Dustin, Ryan, Brandon, Shayla (Andrew), Kody, Brooklyn and Megan; two sisters, Carrie Stortie of Houlton, ME and Winnifred (John) Anderson of Springfield, NB; sisters-in-law, Doris Morgan of Upper Hainesville, NB, Judy Daniels (Vince) of Woodstock, NB and Angela Brownlow of Plaster Rock, NB; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Edna was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Arthur; two nephews, Robert Morgan and Brent Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Albert Stortie. Edna was a devoted housewife and mother and later worked at Crabbe Mountain running the daycare for many years. She was also a school bus driver, a job that she loved very much. She and John shared a love of music and could often be found on a Friday or Saturday night at a musical gathering of some sort.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Edward Guiggey officiating. Interment will take place at the Central Hainesville Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Upper Hainesville Community Hall. Honourary pallbearers will be Edna’s grandchildren.
