At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday December 8, 2012, the death occurred of Joyce Taylor, age 78, of Montague, wife of the late Waldo Taylor (1996).
Born in Belle River, March 6, 1934, Joyce was the daughter of the late Hector and Elizabeth (Hume) Compton. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Reg) Samis of Alma, ON, Diane (John) Stewart of Charlottetown, Kathy (Joe) Johnson of Millview; grandchildren, Emily Samis and Cynthia Deen, Melissa Horsman, Taylor and Meghan Johnson; and her great-grandson, Cody Deen. She is also survived by her brother, George (Sybil) Compton, and her numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Aside from her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brothers, Russell, Elmer, John, Grover and her sisters, Helen and Emily.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Monday, December 10, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the Wood Islands Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in the Wood Islands Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kings County Memorial Hospital or the Humane Society.
