Mattatall, Jewel Betty, “Betty”, 76, Bible Hill, passed away Thursday December 6, 2012 at home. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Muriel (Miller) Mattatall.
Betty is survived by daughters Joanne McCallum (Bernard) of Brookfield, Sherry Reid of Alberta, Michelle Munro of Truro, Tanya Reid of Pugwash; 2 grandsons; 3-granddaughters; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Leona MacKinnon of (Lawlay) of Pictou.
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by a son Roger; sister Rhonda; brother Phillip Mattatall.
No visitation by family request. A private family graveside service will take place on Tuesday at 2 pm in Lockerby Cemetery, Tatamagouche with Rev. Morley Bentley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia heart and Stroke Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
